Pushpa Kumari:
An accomplished artist at 35, Pushpa is recognized more for her brilliant work than as the pioneer Mahasundari Devi's granddaughter. Pushpa belongs to the 'kayastha' community and indulges in the line painting.

She started painting at an age of mere 7 years. The eldest child of her parents, she took responsibility of her brother and sisters when their father left home during her childhood days. Painting was her means of earning. And she made it her skill too. She earned enough to educate all her five sisters and the only brother She herself completed her studies till graduation and continued painting parallely. Unfortunately she lost her brother after he completed his graduation. Her grandmother has been her guide and teacher. Her works are influenced by her grandmother's style, yet she has a very individual way of expressing her art.
