Fashion ponchos for women’s outerwear, is made in
Georgette with hand-embroidery Chikan style. These are great casual
wear both indoors and outdoors. Georgette ponchos are very popular
among younger women. They go very well with jeans trousers. Georgette
ponchos are embroidered on front and back sides. In Uttar Pradesh,
the Chikan embroidery is said to have been introduced by Noor Jahan,
the Mughal queen. Some of the patterns are believed to actually be
her own! It is a dignified, subtle and feminine style of embroidery.
The grace and sophistication of chikan is unmatched in any other
style of embroidery seen in India. Usually these ponchos are soft in
color and very light in weight. Georgette fabric makes these ponchos
particularly suitable for spring and summer.
